Beinverlängerung anyone?

Berverlägerung or pemanjangan kaki. Hari ni we all tgk documentary kat tv pasal beinverlägerung ni. Ish..ngeri kami nengok neh. Aduss, mengapa manusia ni tak syukur ngan apa yang Allah dah bagi. I really wonder.

Its like this, there's one healthy (I mean physically, mentally I am not sure) young woman. German of course. She stands at around 5'6 and tak pueh hati because she thinks she's too short. Too short!! Bleh caya dak? 5'6 tu dah 170cm which is überaverage for an asian woman and totally acceptable height for a european. C'mon Kate Moss was 5'6 and she rocked the catwalk like nobodies business. Melalut dah nih..

Anyway, dia nak tinggi lagi, kalau boleh 10cm taller. Dia tak ikut petua orang tua2 kat mesia, kalau nak tinggi kena gayut kan. Tak pun pi lompat kijang. She didn't do those things. She went to the cosmetic surgeon and told him her 'problem'. Doctor says 50 000€ and you're 10cm taller. Ethical? I dont think so. The doctor said it will help her self esteem. Help? More like destroy it.

She naturally agreed and probably didn't understand the procedure..heh.. because she wouldnt have agreed if she understood. To cut it short. Doctor belah paha, cut her bone and then selit or as I saw it 'drilled' a large metal stick into her bones to hold the gap. She could control the metal stick and sort of 'set' the elongation of the stick through her healing process. Tengok pun dah rasa sakit. Some might ask why would someone even developt such procedure? Originally it was suppose to help people born with one leg longer than the other or sindrom kaki panjang sebelah. Jgn gelak plak, bcause these people suffer from acute back pain just because they can't walk properly.

Of course she went through it and we watched dgn perasaan ngilu.

After 8 weeks she could not walk, is taking the strongest painkillers and halucinate through out the day(due of the painkillers...just another innocent reason to get high). She had to do painful therapy every day and had back problem caused by her walking.

On the sunny side, she was 8cm taller and lost 13kg just because she lost appetite due the enorm pain.

She'll have to have another OP to remove the metal stick, in about 1 and a half years. Total pain for 1 and a half years and probably can never play sports again.

First I understand the feeling of tak pueh hati. Every woman goes through it, every woman complains about her body. Its natural to complain if you are a woman. Kan? Ni mesti kes takdak girlfriend nak cerita masalah. I mean just accept la. Bukannya buruk tahap cipan pon kita tgk.

Secondly, what are the cosmetic surgeons thinking! They all defended themselves saying it would help the self esteem. Make her more confident. Are you sure? Because what I'm seeing are girls crawling back into your clinics. It seems that more and more german girls at 17 rather spend 2000€ (money that parents usually saved for them to get drivers license) on new pair of boobs or a new nose. Its inhuman to allow this.

Thirdly, manala depa ni dpt duit bebanyak nak buat surgery itu ini. Takkan buat loan kot? I mean, most of them look like normal middle class people. Weird.

Last but not least, when the reporter asked the woman, how she felt after 8 weeks and 8cm taller, you know what she said?

I was hoping I'd be 10 cm taller not 8.
