This is my version of French onion soup.
Step 1: Kupas, bersih dan hiris 700g bawang. I used bawang merah.
Step 2: Sauté or goreng bawang dengan 25g Butter.
Step 3: Tunggu bawang layu. 20-40 minutes.
Step 4: Tunggu bawang tukaq kaler or omputih kata 'caramelized'. Not garing. 5-10 minutes on high heat.
Step 5: Pour in 200ml apple juice (Omputih guna white wine). Add 1 beef cube and around 800ml water.
Step 6: Bring to boil and season with black pepper, salt and thyme (I used dried).
Step 7: Preheat oven at 200°C.
Step 8: Pour soup into oven resistent bowls. Place 2-3 slices of bread on them (I used ciabatta).
Add cheese (I used Emmemtaler).
Step 10: Serve and enjoy!
I have never eaten this soup before, so I have no idea if it tasted original. But we liked it. Sedap!

Oit sdp nampak ur onion soup neh. Nak2 cicah ngn ciabatta ulala sdpkan! Huh lapar2. Tggu nak buka puasa ratah kari kapla ikan. Hehehe kalo dekat2 leh kasik u sket hehe...
Hi..mesti sedap tu esp ada butter. My doter relishes on fried onion with butter. Heran I tetiba dia suka tapi mmg sedap kan? Niway, I ada komen kat post 'UP' movie.., hehe.
